Mark has extensive knowledge and experience across a broad range of industry sectors. He assists clients on a variety of legal and regulatory matters, including advising on important regulatory developments of the EU Single Market.
Mark supports a diverse range of clients (from multinational corporations to SMEs to not-for-profit organizations) in negotiating and drafting contracts, assisting in regulatory compliance and providing suitable and pragmatic solutions and advice to legal and regulatory issues.
Mark supports clients in understanding and ensuring compliance with EU data protection law (GDPR) and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Mark is passionate about, and a strong advocate of, the Canada-Atlantic relationship. Mark is the co-founder and President of the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association in Brussels and regularly speaks on issues involving the Canada-EU economic and strategic relationship. Mark enjoys a large trans-Atlantic network developed over the course of his extensive international career.
Mark is a full member of the Brussels (Belgium / EU), Ontario (Canada) and England (United Kingdom) bars.
Mark is also part-time visiting professor at the Faculty of Law at KU Leuven.
